Information systems research occupies a unique position at the intersection of technology, organizations, and society. It examines not only how digital systems are designed and implemented but also how they influence decision-making, organizational performance, human behavior, and broader social outcomes. As artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital platforms continue to transform modern…
Advancing Transparency, Verification, and Scientific Impact Through Open Research Practices Scientific progress depends not only on innovative ideas and rigorous methodologies but also on the ability of other researchers to verify, reproduce, and build upon published findings. As computational methods become increasingly central to research in fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, ubiquitous…
In modern computer science and technology research, benchmark reporting has become one of the most influential components of scholarly publication. Whether evaluating artificial intelligence models, software frameworks, cybersecurity systems, cloud architectures, or ubiquitous computing platforms, benchmark results often determine how readers, reviewers, and industry stakeholders perceive the credibility of a study. For technology-oriented journals such…
As software engineering rapidly evolves through artificial intelligence, cloud-native systems, cybersecurity architectures, edge computing, and ubiquitous technologies, the success of a new software tool or framework increasingly depends on one critical factor validation. For technology-focused journals such as the Ubiquitous Technology Journal (UTJ) by Crosslink Studies, validation is particularly important because the journal emphasizes computer…
Data preprocessing is one of the most influential stages in modern computational research. In fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, IoT analytics, cybersecurity, and data science, preprocessing decisions directly affect model behavior, experimental validity, and research outcomes. Yet many manuscripts describe preprocessing only briefly, leaving reviewers uncertain about how raw data became…
Dataset selection is one of the most critical stages in software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven research. A strong experimental design can still produce misleading conclusions if the dataset selection process introduces bias. For this reason, reputable journals increasingly expect researchers to justify how datasets were selected, filtered, balanced, and evaluated. In modern…
Reproducibility has become one of the most important quality indicators in modern software engineering research. Whether a study focuses on artificial intelligence, cloud systems, cybersecurity, IoT, distributed computing, or empirical software engineering, researchers are increasingly expected to provide sufficient experimental detail so that independent researchers can verify, replicate, and extend the reported findings. For journals…
Why Pseudocode Matters in Scientific Publishing In modern scholarly communication especially in engineering, computing, and applied sciences pseudocode is no longer optional; it is a bridge between theory and reproducibility. It allows authors to present algorithmic logic in a structured yet language-independent way, helping readers understand how results are generated rather than just what they…
In modern scientific publishing especially in AI, software engineering, and emerging technologies, the proposed method section is often the core innovation of a manuscript. However, not every paper requires a standalone “Proposed Method” section. Understanding when to explicitly include it, how to structure it, and how it differs from a standard methodology section is critical…
In high-impact academic publishing, the “contribution” section is not a formality, it is the core value proposition of a manuscript. Editors and reviewers in leading journals prioritize submissions that clearly articulate what is new, why it matters, and how it advances the field. For Crosslink Studies (CLS)and the Ubiquitous Technology Journal (UTJ), which emphasize interdisciplinary…
